WTSC — Impaired Drivers at Interlock Research Demonstration

trafficsafety asked:

Educational training video from a first-ever “drinking lab” that involved actual driving by volunteers who were consuming alcohol. The research demonstration, on a closed, supervised course in Washington State, showed that drivers are dangerously impaired by alcohol at levels well below the legal limit of .08% BAC. Also shows how interlock devices will stop an impaired driver from operating a motor vehicle. Produced by the Washington Traffic Safety Commission, the Washington State Patrol and Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
